Tie for 2nd on the popularity list is the late Memorial Stadium (1950-1997, demolished 2001). Oh the fond memories I have of this place. I was there for Earl Weaver & Brooks Robinson's last games & I remember laughing at Wild Bill Hagy.
I know every time one of these screens are sold, it's brings the same nostalgia to others.

The image is of the NW corner of North Linwood Ave & Orleans Street in East Baltimore. I shot the photo while sitting at the light. Well that's the story, I shot the photo while driving. As popular as it is, it was worth the risk.
The homes in this are were built around 1920. They include the iconic white marble steps that at one time, were proudly scrubbed with Bon Ami powder & Pumice stone. A glistening stoop was a point of pride in the Baltimore neighborhoods.

I quickly created small 5" x 7" painted screens that could be admired not as utilitarian but as art. It also brought the art inside for the owner to enjoy rather than the outsider which is the case with traditional painted screens. I paid homage to the movements roots by painting Baltimore scenes & personalities. These scenes & sizes quickly caught on & a 2nd career was born.
As with all of my screens presented as art, these are backed in a black material for better viewing. The small screens can be hung or displayed on flat surface.
